From the workshop of Amber Strings comes their Novisio Model 521 viola. Amber Strings Workshop traces its roots to the 1980s when Zhonglon Sheng and his three brothers opened a violin-making workshop in Beijing. This step up viola is an outstanding value for the advancing student. The top is hand carved from aged Chinese spruce, and the back and sides are crafted from flamed Chinese maple. This viola is finished with high quality ebony fittings and set up with Thomastik Dominant strings. This viola has an open sound and excellent projection.
